The display device is provided with: a first color pixel and a second color pixel having mutually different colors, and has a first electrode 60, which is respectively arranged in the first color pixel and the second color pixel; a barrier rib 70, which is arranged along the periphery of the respective first electrodes so as to separate the first color pixel and the second color pixel and of which on the upper face 70T, and a recess C is formed; an organic active layer 62, which is respectively arranged on the first electrode of the first color pixel and the second color pixel and includes a luminous layer made of a low-molecule-based material, and a second electrode 64, which is arranged on the organic active layer.
