To provide a display device whereby cost increase due to memory addition is prevented, lowering of the numerical aperture due to increase in scanning electrodes and signal electrodes or switching devices is further prevented, and a display image is rotated by a 90 degrees, and also to provide a driving method of the device.
A liquid crystal display device 10 is provided with a plurality of gate bus lines A1 to A4 and a plurality of source bus lines B1 to B4 installed in matrix. In each intersection of the gate bus lines A1 to A4 and the source bus lines B1 to B4, there is provided a display part 1 which displays, with a liquid crystal layer 9, an image on pixels installed through a TFT 8. A plurality of opposing bus lines C1 to C4 for supplying signals c1 to c4 to the liquid crystal layer 9 are installed in parallel and in pairs with the respective source bus lines B1 to B4.
