When a memory card 10 of a battery size and weight different depending on the number of pages of digital content is inserted into a memory card slot 20, a battery 12 in the memory card 10 is connected to a power control circuit 90 of the display device 1 to supply necessary power to each part and thus start the display of the digital content. The weight of the memory card 10 depends on the volume of the digital content information, and for a small volume, the memory card can be light to reduce the weight of the display device 1 accordingly.
