PURPOSE: To decrease the number of terminals of segment patterns without making time display difficult to see by making the number of display driving segments larger at an additional display part which has relatively low importance and a large number of segment terminals than at a main time display part which displays time, etc.

CONSTITUTION: The segment pattern (SP) of the additional display part (lower pattern) is divided into 123pcs. and connected to 24 terminals 6aW6x. A common pattern also has 123 SPs, and patterns corresponding to slanting-line segments are all connected mutually to the other common terminal 10a. The main display part (upper pattern), on the other hand, has one common terminal 12a; and an SP is divided into 42 SPs, which are connected to 40 segment terminals. Consequently, the number of terminals of the SPs is decreased without making the time display of the main display part difficult to see.
