To provide a display element capable of improving color separation characteristics using a color filter which has high transmittance, and having high efficiency, and superior color reproducibility.

An organic light-emitting element 10M emits blue and red lights, and together a green light in a relatively weak intensity, as compared with that of the two colors. Between the organic light-emitting element 10M and a green color filter layer 22G, a green fluorescent light conversion layer 23 is provided which absorbs the blue light component and emits a green color light. The color purity of blue and red is improved to lessen the green light emission component, causing degradation of color purity in separating blue and red through color filters 22 and using the highly transmissive and low concentration color filter 22. The light emission efficiency and the color reproducibility are enhanced, by compensating for a small quantity of the green light emission component by the green fluorescent light converting layer 23 and by adjusting the chromaticity by the filter layer 22G.
