Judgement is made on the basis of information from intra-cage destination buttons k1 and the hall button on each floor if an applicable signal is a long storey operating command 1a or short storey operating command 1b. A control part 2d takes out information from either the long storey information memory part 2a or the short storey information memory part 2b selectively according to the result from judgement with the aid of a changeover device 2c, and displays a proper amount of information for applicable passengers on the display k2 in the cage.
