To enhance productivity of a display panel and to reduce its cost by making it light and thin, and by reducing numbers of parts used, while giving a function such as electromagnetic wave shielding property to the display panel itself by integrating electromagnetic wave shielding material in a PDP (Plasma Display Panel).

This display panel 1 is composed by integrally jointing a PDP body 20 and a transparent base board 2 with a conductive composite mesh 5, which has an aperture ratio of not less than 75% and is made by mixing and braiding metal fabric and/or metal coated organic fiber with a wire diameter of not more than 200 μm, and transparent conductive fiber 4 placed between. A conductive adhesive tape 7A is pasted so that it reaches a rim part of the PDP body 20 through its edge surface from a rim part of the transparent conductive film 4, and a projecting rim part of the conductive composite mesh 5 is folded back toward the PDP body 20 to fix it by a conductive adhesive tape 7B.
