To make it possible to move a display in the vertical direction without changing the orientation of the vertical direction of the display by constituting at least a part of an arm by parallel links.
An arm device 3 comprises a first arm 12 which is constituted of the parallel links consisting of a first perpendicular shaft 7 and a second perpendicular shaft 8 and a first link 10 and second link 11 freely turnably and pivotally fitted in the vertical direction at their respective ends by horizontal shafts 9a to 9d to these shafts and the second arm 13 which is laterally, horizontally turnably and pivotally fitted at its one end to the first perpendicular shaft 7 and is mounted with a mounting plate 4 at its other end. When moving the display 1 in the vertical direction, a user presses a manipulation plate 28 while clamping a lower clamping part 5b. The locking mechanism is released by this pressing manipulation. Since the first arm 12 is made vertically turnable around the second perpendicular shaft 8, the changing of the vertical position of the display 1 is made possible.
