The display device 1 displays a prescribed screen corresponding to a defined equipment when a user selects a defined equipment. If an undefined equipment is selected, a general purpose screen 15 is made ready, so that the equipment information transmitted from the undefined equipment is adapted and displayed. As a result, the equipment information conventionally undisplayable on a screen display section can be displayed such as the name 16, condition 17 and function buttons 18 of the equipment. Consequently, it is possible to confirm the condition of the equipment and to operate the equipment from the display device side.
