To provide a display used for both 2D/3D capable of easily switching a 2D or 3D by using electro-optic material whose refractive index changes in accordance with the existence/absence of power supply application.
This display includes an image formation display 31 and a pin hall array part 37 including a liquid crystal layer 34 which is formed in front of the image formation display 31 and which transmits light emitted from the image formation display 31. The liquid crystal layer 34 selectively forms a pin hall area in accordance with the existence/absence of external power supply application. Thus, it is possible to easily select a 2D/3D in an area that needs more advanced video information, for example, medical science, engineering, simulation and a future stereoscopic image TV area.
