PURPOSE: To provide a diaper which is positioned at the center of the body and is easily fittable and does not slip downward even after a large amt. of excrement is absorbed.

CONSTITUTION: In a disposable diaper wherein an absorbing body 3 is held between a water permeable, surface sheet 1 and a water impermeable back sheet 2 and an elastic member 5 is arranged along both side edges of the lower part of the crotch in the longitudinal direction and a plurality of fastening tape pieces 4 are provided on at least either one of a back contact part and a belly contact part, the adhesive face of at least one fastening tape piece among the above described fastening tape pieces is made adhesive to an article except the diaper of the outer side of the above described back sheet 2 to make positioning of the above described absorbing body 3 easy at the center of a body at the beginning of fitting. In addition, when it is fitted, the disposable diaper main body is surely held on the body by not only holding it on left and right around the waist but hanging it from the shoulder and it is made in such a way that the diaper does not slip downward even after a large amt. of excrement is absorbed.
