In this distance measuring system, an SS signal is transmitted and received between a distance measuring device 100 and a plurality of sides 200 to be distance-measured, and distances between the distance measuring side 100 and the respective sides 200 to be distance-measured are found respectively on the basis of the time required for its transmission and its reception. The frequency band of the SS signal is divided into a plurality of frequency bands, one frequency band f1 out of them is used as a downlink, and the remaining frequency bands f2 are used as an uplink.
