Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distress beacon transmitter that can be released from a deep sea on the occurrence of an accident in a sea bottom work or a submarine and transmit a strong signal with less power consumption for a long time.
SOLUTION: A plurality of patch antennas 3 are placed on the surface of a foldable balloon 1. When a gas filler 9 fills a gas in the balloon 1 at a sea bottom and the balloon 1 is released, the balloon 1 surfaces. After a GPS receiver 5 measures the position of the balloon, a transmitter 6 transmits position information together with a distress beacon.
