Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent all functions of fault monitor from being stopped due to a fault of a control section by executing a distributed processing by a processor.
CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with an inter-unit communication bus 101 transmitting fault information, a hardware fault detection section 102 detecting a hardware fault caused in an exchange and outputting fault information to the communication bus 101, a software fault detection section 103 receiving software fault information generated in an exchange control section and outputting the fault information to the communication bus 101, a fault display device control section 104 receiving and analyzing the fault information outputted from the fault detection sections 102, 103 and outputting a display signal to the fault display device, and a centralized maintenance center notice section 105 receiving and analyzing the fault information outputted from the fault detection sections 102, 103 and outputting fault information used to inform it to the centralized maintenance center, and the sections 102, 103, 104, 105 have respectively a processor in their inside and the processors are used to execute each processing independently. Thus, even when one function is stopped, the stop of all the functions is prevented.
