Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make an even distribution of granular materials achievable in an automatic manner by distributing and feeding these materials on the basis of a request degree of these materials at each hopper obtained from a furzy inference in the case where the granular materials to be conveyed are distributed and fed to each of the seven hoppers.
CONSTITUTION: Foundry sand is fed to each of seven hoppers H1 to H7 installed along a conveyor running at constant speed from three kneaders M1 to M3. This feeding operation is carried out in the following procedures that each of scrapers S1 to S6 set up in each position of these hoppers is lowered on the conveyor C as long as the specified time, and the oundry sand on the conveyor C is scraped down in the six hoppers H1 to H6, and at that time, as the hopper H7 is situated at an terminal end of the conveyor C, the foundry sand is naturally dropped in the hopper H7. In this time, on the basis of a residual quantity of granular materials in the hoppers, a request degree of the materials at each hopper is found out through a fuzzy inference, by way of example, whereby these granular materials in the specified length range on the conveyor C are distributed and alloted and then fed to each fo these six hoppers H1 to H6 according to the request degree fo each hopper.
