PURPOSE: To provide a distribution line carrying/receiving device producing no data error due to disturbance caused by the load and the transmission charac teristic of a distribution line.

CONSTITUTION: An amplifier 1 amplifies a received FSK signal, a band pass filter 2 limits its band to an FSK signal frequency, an A/D converter 3 converts it into a digital signal. Digital band pass filters 4 and 5 having a passing band corresponding to transmission data '0' and '1' obtains filter output corresponding to data '0' and '1' absolute value circuits 6 and 7 takes the absolute value of filter output. When a comparator 10 compares/judges it coincident with data for synchronozation, a timer 11 is started and counters 8 and 9 measures the absolute value of the filter output value corresponding to data '0' and '1'. The sums of data of the counters 8 and 9 at the time of passing the transmission time of one bit after starting is size-compared by a comparator 12 and the larger one is set to be receiving data output.
