Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a DNA fragment encoding transferin receptor subunit of Neisseria meningitidis.
CONSTITUTION: This DNA fragment is the one encoding a protein capable of being recognized by an antiserum against the transferrin receptor of the strain IM2394 or IM2169 of N. meningitidis, or the one encoding, for example, Tbp1 subunit of the strain TM2394 or IM2169, or Tbp2 subunit of the strain IM2394 or IM2169. The method for producing the protein by a gene recombination is also provided.
