PURPOSE: To stably input picture data at high quality by incorporating a picture input device into a mainbody and automatically scanning data in an auxiliary scan direction.

CONSTITUTION: A photoelectric conversion means 52 is arranged near a platen roller 51. A picture on an original fed by the platen roller 51 which rotates at constant speed by a driving control means is photoelectrically converted, and is outputted to a picture processing means. It picture-processes a signal obtained from the photoelectric conversion means 52 and transfers it to a storage means as picture data. The storage means stores picture data obtained from the picture processing means. The control means prints picture data read from the storage means on a paper 13 by a printing means 61 so as to output it. Thus, picture data can stably be inputted at high quality and it can be printed.
