CONSTITUTION: A browser data index 29 is provided to specify the position of bowser data in document data by designating one part of document text data 30 as browser data 31 and at the time of document retrieval, the browser data corresponding to the browser data index are displayed concerning all preserved documents. Thus, it is not necessary to input comment data for document retrieval separately from text data and concerning all the preserved documents, the characteristic parts of respective documents can be browsed.
