Title:
DOCUMENT READER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0488589
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a document reader not to crease a document by correcting curled shapes at both end parts of the document by the profiling face of a guide part while sucking the document by a feed roller.

CONSTITUTION: For document sucking ports formed on both sides of a feed roller 30, the width is gradually made narrower toward the sucking direction of the document shown by an arrow E in the figure, and a guide part 34 composed of the profiling face composed of three curved faces is provided to correct a bending part 20 to a plane shape gradually when the ends of the document are curled. When the feed roller 30 is rotated and the central part of a document 16 is sandwiched and started being sucked in the arrow E direction, the bending parts 20 at the both ends of the document 16 can be opened in a plane direction gradually by the profiling face of the guide part 34 and sucked from the sucking ports into the reader. Thus, the document can be read without being creased.
