Abstract:
To prevent, when documents with a plurality of different sizes are placed, a situation where a document is not conveyed due to the placement position of the document.SOLUTION: A document reading device of the present invention has display means and a placement part on which a plurality of documents are placed, and comprises conveying means that conveys the plurality of documents placed on the placement part, and reading means that reads the documents conveyed by the conveying means to generate image data. The display means displays information for urging placement of a document with a plurality of different sizes with the documents being aligned to the center of the placement part in a direction orthogonal to a direction in which the documents are conveyed by the conveying means, based at least on the fact that a mode for the reading means to read the documents in one job is set to the document reading device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
