PURPOSE: To simplify the manufacture and assembly of a door and constitute an emergency device easily by a method wherein the emergency device, permitting the opening and/or closing of the door manually by cutting connection with a driving unit upon the trouble of the driving unit for opening and/or closing the door for a refrigerator automatically, is attached to a place except the door.

CONSTITUTION: A power transmitting member 9, transmitting the power of a driving unit 10 for opening and closing the door to a slide-type door 3, is supported at the side of the driving unit 10 for opening and/or closing the door through a bearing to mount it swingably into up-and-down direction. An arm member 30, engaged with the power transmitting member 9, is supported pivotably by a wall surface and the like except the door 3 to effect the arced operation of the arm member 30 in up-and-down by driving it by a motor whereby the power transmitting member 9 is connected to and/or released from a fixed driving part 27 of the side of the door 3.
