Abstract:
PURPOSE:To simply and reliably mount a mold pad for forming an arm rest by integrally attaching a metal plate on an outer surface of the mold pad contacting a core member, and forming flanges at opposite ends of the metal plate in such a manner as to be flush with a mold surface. CONSTITUTION:A door trim 10 for an automobile is constituted of a core member 11 having a predetermined curved shape such that projecting toward a compartment at an arm rest portion and a door waist portion, a mold pad 12 to be mounted on the core member 11 at the arm rest portion so as to provide a cushioning function, and a skin member 13 for covering outer surfaces of the core member 11 and the mold pad 12. A metal plate 14 is integrally attached to the outer surface of the mold pad 12 contacting the core member 11. The metal plate 14 is outwardly bent at 90 deg. at its opposite ends to form flanges 15, and is also formed at its side surface with plural fixing ribs 16.
