Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable a quiet printing by forming a magnetic ink film at the position of the tip of needles as retreated so that a printing can be done by only bringing the tip thereof into contact with a paper without impacting it.
CONSTITUTION: In a printer in which a plurality of needles 15 are operated selectively to bring the tip thereof 15 into contact with a paper for recording, a film of a magnetic ink 22 is formed at the position of the tip thereof 15 as retreated. It is preferable that slits 19 are formed at the position of the tip of the needles 15 with magnetic poles 20 and 21 different in the polarity facing each other so that the magnetic ink will be retained between the slits 19.
