PURPOSE: To provide a fast printable dot printer reduced in the weight with the tip of wires hard to wear by impacting a recording paper with a plurality of wires which is made of a synthetic resin with a very hard material body fixed at the tip thereof and are reciprocating selectively driven by a driving section.

CONSTITUTION: A print head 5 is fixed on a carrier 4 through a fixing member 10 and a plurality of wires 13 and a driving section thereof are held with a rear cover 11 and a guide section 12. The wires 13 are made of a synthetic resin, a very hard material body 14 such as metal and ceramics is fixed at the tip thereof and a button 15 is mounted at the rear end thereof. The driving section has armatures 16 and excitation coils 12 in the same number as the wires 13 integrated and reciprocates the wires 13 with the action of a magnetic force and a wire spring 26 to impact a recording paper 7 through an ink ribbon 8 so that ink is transferred onto the recording paper 7 to form a dot.
