To provide a double oil pan device which can suppress oil degradation and improve warm-up performance.
The double oil pan device 10 includes an outer tank member 12, an inner tank member 14 arranged within the outer tank member 12, an inner tank oil reservoir 14a which is located within the inner tank member, and an outer tank oil reservoir 12a which is located within the outer tank member and between the outer tank member and the inner tank member. Moreover, the double oil pan device includes: a bottom opening and closing valve 20 which is provided at the bottom of the inner tank member 14, communicates the inner tank oil reservoir with the outer tank oil reservoir when an engine is stopped, and interrupts the communication of the inner oil tank reservoir with the outer oil tank reservoir when the engine is operated; a communication path which communicates the inner tank oil reservoir with the outer tank oil reservoir when the bottom opening and closing valve 20 is opened; and a thermostat valve device 30 which is provided in the communication path, and is operated to close the communication path when an oil temperature exceeds a predetermined value and to open the communication path when the oil temperature is not higher than the predetermined value.
