Abstract:
To estimate the double refraction amount of an optical disk in the rotated state of the optical disk.
In a CPU 47, a signal which is obtained by an optical pickup OPU of polarizing optical system by the reflection from the optical disk DISC to be measured, is measured in the manner of rotating the optical disk DISC to be measured at a plurality of different rotation frequencies and also moving the optical pickup OPU of polarizing optical system toward an outer periphery from an inner periphery of the optical disk DISC to be measured. Then, the double refraction amount of the optical disk DISC to be measured is estimated by the CPU 47 from the above measurement result.
