To provide a double row automatic aligning roller bearing positively prevented from the wear of specific components under working conditions particularly at a high temperature regarding the double row automatic aligning roller bearing used for an aircraft.
Two rows of parallel inner ring raceway surfaces 1a, 1b are formed in the outer peripheral direction of an inner ring 1, and a spherical outer ring raceway surface 2a shared by two rows of rollers 3 is formed on the inner periphery of an outer ring 2. A cage 4 is provided to abut on the double rows of rollers 3 rotatably rolling guided by the outer ring raceway surface 2a and inner ring raceway surfaces 1a, 1b, and a guide ring 5 is provided in a clearance between the rows of the rollers 3 between the cage 4 and the inner ring 1. The surface of at least one component selected out of the guide ring 5, rollers 3 and inner and outer ring raceway surfaces 1a, 1b, 2a has a nitrogen enriched layer (5a in Figure 1).
