PURPOSE: To maintain water drain adequately even though the floor is finished horizontally by laying a floor material consisting of porous ceramic material having excellent water permeability horizontally on the top surface of a floor of building frame formed with a drainage gradient.
CONSTITUTION: In a bathroom or the like, a drainage gradient α is formed on a, floor 25 of a building frame and, on the top surface of this, a base layer 14 and a surface layer 12 consisting of porous ceramic material 10 having excellent water permeability are laid on the top surface. These base layer 14 and surface layer 12 and constituted by binding the particles of ceramic materials with a binder, and adequate water permeability can be obtained by adequately selecting a relation between the size of particles and the thickness of the layer. And the top surface 12a of the surface layer 12 is finished horizontally to provide a floor surface 26. In this way, water flowing on the floor surface 26 is penetrated through the surface layer 12 and the base layer 14 and reaches the top surface of the floor 25 of the building framing and then can be guided to a drain hole 29 by the gradient α.
