Abstract:
To provide a drive mechanism and an image forming apparatus that are relatively inexpensive and excellent in safety.
A drive mechanism is for driving a processing device that carries out predetermined processing, the drive mechanism comprising: a driving source that generates driving force for driving the processing device; a transmission part that transmits the driving force; a case that accommodates the transmission part; and an output part that is connected with the processing device and the transmission part and outputs the driving force to the processing device. The output part has higher flame resistance than that of the transmission part.
