To reduce power consumption of an electro-optical device by making a voltage range of a data signal narrower than that of a 1T1C system in a 2T1C system.
A driving method of an electro-optical device includes the steps of: controlling voltage so as to make optical states of electro-optical elements the same as one another regardless of ON/OFF of driving transistors; applying a data voltage specifying ON/OFF of the driving transistors from signal lines to gates of the driving transistors by applying a voltage Gon turning ON pixel transistors to scan lines; decreasing the data voltage applied to the gates of the driving transistors by a feed-through voltage Vft by applying a voltage Goff turning OFF the pixel transistors to the scan lines; and controlling voltage of an element driving power source by increasing or decreasing the voltage of the element driving power source by a voltage Vep higher than a voltage Vep0 or lower than the voltage Vep0. Each of the voltages and voltage capacities satisfies predetermined conditions.
