Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a lateral cross talkless and flickerless driving for a capacitive coupling driving system and to greatly improve the display performance by reversing the compensation potential of a gate signal and a source signal with a vertical period and supplying a different polarity pixel signal for every source wiring.
SOLUTION: The gate electrode of a thin film transistor(TFT) 103 is connected to each gate wiring of a gate wiring group 101 and the source electrode is connected to each source wiring of a source wiring group 102. A pixel electrode 104 is connected to the drain electrode of the TFT 103 and is connected to the opposing electrode through a capacitor 106 of a liquid crystal layer. Then, a column reversing system, which reverses the polarity of the signals for every source wiring, is employed, the source wiring of a preceding stage gate constitution and the source wiring of a succeeding stage gate constitution are alternatively arranged, the compensation potential of a gate signal and a source signal are reversed with a vertical period and pixel signals having a different polarity for every source wiring are supplied.
