Abstract:
There are provided a travel assistance device and a computer program that limit unnecessary guidance as much as possible while providing guidance on a connecting road that can possibly become a risk factor. Specifically, the configuration is such that a connecting road present in the driver's field of vision and having driver's visibility lower than a threshold is identified among connecting roads which are roads connecting to a traveling road of a vehicle at a divergence point present around the vehicle, based on a captured image and a map information image, and guidance informing of the presence of an invisible road which is the identified connecting road is provided.
