Abstract:

To provide a new drug delivery system minimizing the invasion to a patient and transporting bivalent manganese ion to the diseased part as a carcinostatic agent to effectively develop the carcinostatic action.

The 1st drug delivery system for inducing apoptosis is composed of small particles containing a bivalent metal ion, and the 2nd drug delivery system for inducing apoptosis is composed of a bivalent metal ion and a device for holding the ion. In the 1st and the 2nd systems, the metal ion is preferably bivalent manganese ion, bivalent copper ion or bivalent zinc ion, especially preferably bivalent manganese ion.
