Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a dry cleaning solvent capable of sufficiently cleaning aqueous stain as well as oily stain without causing the fiber shrinkage problem and free from environmental pollution by compounding a specific monohydric alcohol with water and a surfactant.
CONSTITUTION: This solvent for dry cleaning is produced by compounding 90.0-95.0wt.% of a 3-6C saturated monohydric alcohol such as propanol, butanol, isobutyl alcohol, 1-pentanol or 1-hexanol with 5.0-10.0wt.% of water and ≤1.0wt.% of a surfactant.
