Title:
DRY FLOW BARREL POLISHING METHOD AND ITS DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3768607
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide polishing without nonuniformity by charging into a polishing drum many works, plastic-media, and sphere grains for preventing the works from bonding and polymerizing due to interaction of the works during polishing process, and by revolving these materials in the polishing drum to polish the works. SOLUTION: A given amount of plastic-media and works, and sphere grains 15 are charged into a polishing drum 1, and a blower 25 are started. When a rotating board is rotated, mass consisting of the plastic-media and others revolvingly flow in the polishing drum 1 to polish the works. Air current generated by the blower 25 travels into a dust collector 19 through the polishing drum 1, and clean air percolated through a filter 21 returns to the blower 25. Because in the floating polishing process the sphere grains 15 exist among works, bonding and polymerizing between works dose not occur. Therefore, all works are separated and dispersed, and whole surface of each works are polished uniformly.
