Abstract:
To provide a drying technique used in fuel conversion from biomass of various unused biomass plants including a soft biomass such as branches and leaves involving treetop parts of tree, shrub, bamboos, trimmed branches of garden and street trees, and weeds.SOLUTION: A raw material biomass to be supplied to a wood fuel chip thermal power generation plant, a wood fuel chip boiler, etc., such as raw woods for production of industrial fuel wood fuel chips, small diameter lumber materials, miscellaneous small trees, shrubs, bamboos are pulverized to chips of desired particle diameter. Pulverized chips which are in mixed granule states of small particle diameter chips generated on pulverizing and being smaller than or equal to objective particle diameter and powdery sawdust-like byproducts are used as granular mixed pulverized chips, and a part of small particle diameter chips being smaller than or equal to objective particle diameter and most part of sawdust powdery byproducts is dried until carbonized. Dried fuel chips having been dried and having desired particle diameter and granular mixed biomass fuels which are a mixture of partially semi-carbonized small particle diameter chips and mostly carbonized sawdust powdery byproducts are sorted, thus industrial dry fuel chips and granular mixed biomass fuels are produced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
