Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dry-type apparatus for measuring the distribution of grain size capable of supplying a flow cell with all powder and granular material samples of difference types, etc., with corresponding and predetermined quantitative properties and stability.
SOLUTION: By vibrating a trough 18 for housing a sample 4 by a linear feeder 19 provided with an electromagnet 30 and blade springs 31a and 31b, the sample 4 in the trough 18 is dropped from a sample drop hole 25 formed in the trough 18 to supply the sample 4 for the flow cell 3 below in the dry-type apparatus for measuring the distribution of grain size. A rectangular pulse voltage is impressed on the electromagnet 30.
