PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drying machine that dries clothes in, a drum driven by a motor and in warm air being introduced into the drum, and that attains an improved reliability by taking the following measures. The structure of a rotation detection means to detect a speed of rotation or a cycle of rotation and that of an open and close detection means to detect open or close of a door are simplified, the number of parts items of the machine and the costs are reduced, and the accuracy is improved.
SOLUTION: A rotation detection means 6 detects a speed of rotation or a cycle of rotation of a rotating drum 1, and an open and close detection means 7 detects open or close of a door through which clothes are thrown into the drum. A control means 8 controls a speed of rotation of a motor 5 and a PTC heater 3. The control means is composed, of a display part 8a and a control part 8b. A rotation detection means 6 consists of the first magnet 6a and the first magnetic sensor 6b attached to the rotary drum 1. The open and close detection means 7 consists of the second magnet and the second magnetic sensor 7b attached to the door. The attaching points are so chosen to decrease mutual magnetic interference between the first magnetic sensor 6b and the second magnetic sensor 7b.
