Title:
DRYING METHOD FOR INCREASING PACKING EFFICIENCY OF TOBACCO MATERIAL AND DEVICE FOR EXECUTING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2501163
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To increase packing efficiency and also to reduce environmental contamination as much as possible by improving the physical and chemical sense characteristics of a tobacco material to be used as a cigarette packing material.
CONSTITUTION: In a drying method for increasing packing efficiency of a tobacco material, the tobacco material which is cut and supplied with water is transported by a drying gas flow and after being dried by a tube-shaped drying part 12, is separated from the drying gas. The drying gas at a supply point for supplying to the drying part 12 has temp. of at least 200°C and a flow speed of at least 30 m/s. The flow speed of the drying gas is reduced in the drying part 12. The max. flow speed of the drying gas at the supply point to the drying part 12 is 100 m/s. In the drying part 12, the flow speed of the tobacco material is also reduced in order to reduce local heat between a surface of the tobacco material and the surrounding drying gas and material transporting efficiency in accordance with the reduction of the flow speed of the drying gas. The drying gas has a flow speed of 15 m/s in max. and temp. of 130°C in max. in an end part of the drying part.
