PURPOSE: To prevent a sound from being leaked between rooms even if a length of a duct is short or further prevent air in one room from being transmitted to the other chamber through the duct by a method wherein a duct type air conditioner is comprised of a suction side partition plate for dividing a suction air passage for every suction duct and a blowing partition plate for dividing the blowing passage communicated with the suction air passage for every blowing ducts.

CONSTITUTION: As a main body 1 of a duct type air conditioner is operated, air in one chamber is sucked through a suction duct 4a. The air is passed to a heat exchanger 12 by a fan easing 7a and heat exchanged, a blowing duct 5a is aerated to blow the air into the room and inturn the air in the other chamber is sucked by a suction duct 4b, passed to the heat exchanger 12 by a fan casing 7b and heat exchanged there, and then the air is passed through a blowing duct 5b and then the air is blown into the room. At this time, since each of the air passages is partitioned by the suction side partition plate 9 and the blowing side partition plates 13 and 13a, the air passage is independently separate from each other for every room and then the air is not mixed at the main body 1 of the duct type air conditioner.
