Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a photographic scanner capable of scanning and digitizing old photographic stacked at random or mounted on an album. CONSTITUTION: The photographic scanner is provided with an upper image station 15 to hold a page of the opened album downward and to read an image and a lower magazine feeding platen image station 17 supported and fed by a photograph supporting platen, each image is selectively guided to an image magnifying/focusing unit 52, desired image magnification and focusing are performed and projected on an image sensor 60 by a multi-directional image projecting mechanism 50. The projected image is digitized and recorded on a storage medium. Contents of an image parameter area on the photograph supporting platen are stored and the size of the image to be projected is changed as being controlled corresponding to the contents by the multi-directional image projecting mechanism. Regarding the following photographs, the stored contents are automatically referred to and a series of photographs are easily and promptly scanned.
