Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the quantity of data to be transferred by providing an updating information storage means, a data base access means, and updating information transfer means at the master site.

CONSTITUTION: An updating information transfer means 23 compares the quantity of updating information with the quantity of data owned in duplication. When the former quantity is smaller than the latter one, an updating request of a copy 431 is produced based on the updating information stored in an updating information storage means 22. Then the produced updating request is sent to a data base access means 41 via the communication means 26 and 44. When the updating information is completely given to the means 41, the updating information is deleted out of the means 22.
