Abstract:
PURPOSE: To allow prevention of adverse effect due to thermal deformation of a fixed shaft, a rotary shaft and the reflective face of a polygon mirror.
CONSTITUTION: The dynamic pressure spindle motor comprises a hollow bottomed fixed shaft 15 having outer surface provided with a dynamic pressure generating groove 15a, an opening 15b, and the inner face touching the outer air, a hollow rotary shaft 20 fitted rotatably over the fixed shaft 15 and fixed with a polygon mirror 11 for deflecting a light beam, a stator coil 31 for rotating the rotary shaft 20, a control circuit 35, and a magnet 40.
