PURPOSE: To prevent insulation failure by providing a cut-out from outer periphery toward inner periphery so that the cut-out is at a specific angle to the radius direction on an interphase insulation paper.
CONSTITUTION: An interphase insulation paper 12 is formed in a shape ranging from plane shape to cylindrical shape while being sandwiched by coils 7 and 10. Since a first cut-out 13 has an angle of θ, the area of an overlapped part 11 of opposing parts 11a and 11b increases and the possibility for causing insulation failure decreases by that amount. Also, when the interphase insulation paper 12 is deformed from plane shape to cylindrical shape along the first phase coil 7 at the outside, no both edge parts swell toward the outside due to their collision. Further, the cut-out terminal part 11b is inside the opposing part 11a and is sandwiched deeply by coil windings with different phases, thus preventing the cut-out terminal part 11a of the interphase insulation paper 12 from being lifted.
