The transmitter is provided with a control part 1 for whole control, an input part 2 for performing a device start indication, an E-mail transmission indication, a position information obtaining indication and the character input of the transmission E-mail, a display part 3 for displaying an inputted character string and transmission position information, a storage part 4 for storing the generated E-mail, an address information storage part 5 for storing address information of a transmission opposite party, a position information obtaining part 6 for obtaining position information through a satellite, a map information storage part 7 for storing map data, a map information obtaining part 8 for obtaining map data from the storage part 7 with respect to obtained position information, an image converting part 9 for converting obtained map data into an E-mail image format and obtaining the image for the mail and an E-mail transmitting part 10 for transmitting the E-mail with the mail image to an E-mail server 11.
