Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EGR cooler which obtains a cooling effect of necessary exhaust gas while avoiding injury due to an increase of heat strain.SOLUTION: An EGR cooler 10 is configured such that a plurality of tubes 20 are arrayed onto a water chamber 16 so as to connect openings 19 for the plurality of tubes formed on a pair of end plates 17, 18 which divide an inner part of a shell 15 in such a direction that EGR gas proceeds, a cooling water introduction port 13 for circulating cooling water through the water chamber 16 is connected to the neighborhood of the upstream side end plate 17, and a cooling water discharge port 14 for discharging cooling water which is circulated through the water chamber 16 is connected to the neighborhood of the other side endplate 18. Therein, an end part of the side opposite to the cooling water introduction port 13 on the upstream side end plate 17 is inclined to the downstream side of cooling water than an end part of the cooling water introduction port 13 side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
