Abstract:
To provide a means for effectively forming a thick film coating in order to improve the corrosion preventability of the edge of a magnetic metal substrate, in particular, sharp edges of steel which is formed by mechanically cutting.
The thick film can be formed in the edge using the edge cover coating containing magnetic substance powder in the solid content at prescribed ratio (3-40 wt.%), locating the coated material such as steel material in magnetic field when applying the coating, or after applying the coating and before the coating is hardened (loses flowability), and using magnetic characteristic differences between the edge and a planar part close to the edge.
