To provide an EL display device having advantages of two manufacturing processes concurrently and to provide its manufacturing method.
The EL display device comprises a first substrate, a first electrode provided on the first substrate, a first organic luminous layer formed on the first electrode, a second electrode provided on the first organic luminous layer, a second substrate provided superposed on the first substrate, a plurality of third electrodes provided on the second substrate, a second organic luminous layer and a third organic luminous layer formed on the plurality of third electrodes, and a fourth electrode provided on the second organic luminous layer and the third organic luminous layer. A first luminous region formed by the first organic luminous layer, a second luminous region formed by the second organic luminous layer, and a third luminous region formed by the third organic luminous layer are located mutually shifted from each other.
