Abstract:
To provide equipment and a method for driving EL (electroluminescence) device using an inverter capable of holding a driving voltage low and at the same time attaining high intensity, low noise, its miniaturization, and a long life.
EL driving equipment boosts an inputted DC voltage by switching a transistor Q1 through a control IC 1, converts a boosted output from the diode D1 to an AC voltage having a prescribed frequency by switching transistors Q2 and Q3 through a control IC 4, and applies it to an EL element 2 with a coil 3 serially connected therewith.
